People are not the same. For some the roller coaster ride is an incredible jump of adrenaline and for others the constant sense of danger, adrenaline rush and living “on the edge” is simply their lifestyle, a profession or a hobby.


1. Russian Alexei Kolesnikov, FMX rider and winner of the Dakar 2010, and the pilot of KAMAZ Vladimir Chagin finished first in the world jump on the bike over the trucks race. The height of the slope – 2,5 m, the distance from the separation point to the landing 12 meters, and the speed of a racer before the jump is 60 km per hour.

2. Abel Knivel in his rocket on Sept. 8th, 1974, before his unsuccessful attempt to fly over the canyon of the Snake River in Idaho.

3. Son of Abel Knivela Robbie successfully jumped over the Grand Canyon May 20th, 1999. At that time the world record was 68 meters.

5. In March 2010, Seth Enslow broke his own world record by jumping on his Harley Davidson 55 meters in Sydney. At his first jump Seth also set a world record by jumping 53 feet.

6. X Games motocross legend Mike “The Godfather” Metzger got into the Guinness book of records, by jumping with the upheaval on his motorcycle at a height of 38 meters above the fountain in the hotel «Caesars Palace» in Las Vegas on May 4th. These fountains have become famous in 1968 when a well-known daredevil Abel Knivel jumped through them.

7. Larry Linkogl member of the team ‘Crusty Demons’ jumped over a ferry on his motorcycle and landed in the water in Auckland on January 2005. Larry was also supposed to jump through a fire, but that did not happen.

9. Ronnie Renner broke his own world record in the highest jump on a motorcycle from the quarter pipe during at the ” Red Bull High Rise” competition, when he leaped 20 feet above the ground, July 25, 2009, in Chicago.

10. Robbie Maddison jumped with his motorcycle more than 30 meters and landed on the roof of the 29-meter-high copy of the Arc de Triomphe in Las Vegas on December 2008. After the jump Maddison got off the arch, and fell in the free flight 19 meters, landing on the trampoline.

18. Trigger Gumm’s fall during his try to make a jump of 96 meters in Miami, Oklahoma, in July 2006. The jump was supposed to be a new world record in the length category passing the length of a football field. After the fall he was able to walk to the ambulance, which took him to the hospital.
