The most disturbing handbag ever

I can’t believe there are people who would actually buy this sort of hand bag. In my opinion it is not cute at all, if that was the original idea, but it is deeply disturbing and I can’t bare looking at it.

It looks like some sick taxidermist killed, shaved a stuffed some poor puppy and then made a handbag out of it.

There are even signs of Louis Vuitton over the bag. Maybe it was made as some sort of protest against using real animal leather in making handbags, but I couldn’t find any info about it on internet.

What do you think about this handbag? Would you ever buy something like this or do you think it’s a bit too much? Feel free to comment.

Meryl Smith created that exceptionally creepy piece of work. Thankfully its more a sculpture then anything intended to be sold (as a purse) or used ever. That thing is the work of nightmares.

I bought two. but first I had to go to the pound

I would like to have my handbag made out of dead just born babies !

I really hope this is a sort of protest against Louis Vuitton’s diabolic fur business.

Whoever wrote this needs to do some research.

It’s not a real Louis Vuitton bag. It’s a sculpture made by Meryl Smith.

The idea of the piece is how people treat pets as an accessory. The way Paris Hilton treat her animals like a hand bag. And by slapping a Louis Vuitton logo on it makes people want it even if its disturbing.

I think it’s bad enough that people will carry animals around in their purses as though they were accessories, but this is just creepy. Even the stuffed toy animal purses are a little weird, where you can zip open their back and stuff your hair brush and wallet into a duck or a pig or a cat.

On that note, I think someone should make a tauntaun purse. It wouldn’t be as weird because it’s a geeky reference, not just what looks like some poor, dead animal. I would put a little Luke Skywalker figure in it to pull out and show people.

i think this is a protest…something like: why not wear your dog AS a handbag instead of carry him around in one?!

  • Nigma

you think that’s disturbing? people in china eat things like that, dogs or two. and thaat’s just a dog. what about birds, tigers, monkeys, and others almost-extinct animals? why dont you try to save our world, rather than crying over an imitated-leathery-chihuahua-handbag?

  • blackcat13

What’s disturbing here is the complete ignorance of the author. Not only are they having a freak out over a sculpture, but they know nothing about taxidermy. Taxidermists don’t kill animals so that they can stuff them, they work with animals that are already dead. Had this actually been a real dog, it would have either belonged to the artist or have been brought to them for the purpose of stuffing/turning in to the fugliest handbag I’ve ever seen.

A little skepticism and research go a really long way.

Sooo cute! I will buy it for sure if such bags would be selling in Latvia.
