We’re still coming round from sock that was caused by the news which hit us last year, in November, about possibility of pole dancing becoming an Olympic sport. They even changed its name from “pole dancing” to “pole fitness” to distinguish it from erotic dancing in night clubs where semi-naked women strip in front of leering men. The popularity of these fitness clubs skyrocketed over the last decade, and more than 500 pole dancing/fitness studios sprung up across the country. The pole fitness instructors say there are women from age 14 to 72 that test their body strength, stamina and flexibility on pole. They say this “sport” provides a physical challenge that keeps both mind and body engaged.

The 25 Worst Haircuts In Sports History
We’ve all had bad hair days and we all know how annoying this can be, especially if it turns out that the day you have the worst haircut, something important happens, like you finally talking to that cute girl that works at the reception on whom you’ve had crush for the last three months, or you have an important presentation to hold. But, can anyone tell me what’s with the sportsmen and ridiculous haircuts? It’s like there is unwritten rule – the more famous and successful you are in sports the more hideous and absurd hairstyle you should have. Here are 25 highly talented people, that for some peculiar reason decided to make fools of themselves. Enjoy!

Ten Gimmick Characters that Made Pro Wrestling Even More Ridiculous
Daniel Dockery wrote hilarious article for the Smoking Jacket. Like Pro Wrestling wasn’t ridiculous enough… Here are ten guys that actually managed to make it look even worse! Meet the top ten gimmick characters that turned this “sport” into a real mockery. If there was even the slightest bit of pro wrestling that remained serious and had some gravity, this mob of well oiled steroid-users in shiny costumes definitely destroyed it. Just look at the images below, they will tell you everything. My absolute favorites are the Killer Bees!
Running on Crutches
This unique game in the whole world takes place each year too mark the anniversary of 7 GMAT earthquake that killed more than 220 thousand people and made millions of people homeless. Many of the players from both teams have lost limbs in this earthquake.
The Beauty and Elegance of Women Boxing
Women are considered to be a gentle and fragile sex and are looked on as weaker and more delicate then men. But, since the beginning of twentieth century and even more since the sex revolution that took place in sixties of the last century, women started to reject this role and the place that was given to them (role of a mother and wife, and place that is in the house) and started to take up all sorts of jobs and positions that until then used to be reserved for men only. It is all great and I fully support this, but while looking at these pictures below, somehow I feel like some sports should remain just for men. It is really disturbing to look at these bloody female faces with that terrible amount of pain on them. What do you think about this?
Ear pulling championship
W.E.I.O. or World Eskimo Indian Olympics have among many others one especially peculiar discipline – the Ear Pulling Championship, called the Ear Pull. It really looks like the contestants are in great amount of pain, but isn’t it so for almost all sport disciplines? Just think about the marathon for example.
Maradona – one man show
Have a glance at the emotional display of Diego Armando Maradona during the Argentina’s match with Nigeria. Really amazing man and it seems like he’s fine on his own, he doesn’t need anybody else to share his emotions with him. It’s like watching a one man’s show, but the thing is that the whole world is watching him and feeling the same emotions like he is, or at least the Argentinians. Have a look at the living legend, the man that astonished the whole world 24 years ago. He still has it.
Animals Also Play Football
These cute animals are playing football! I couldn’t believe some of them are capable to hit the ball, but now, I do believe!
Football Fans Armory
Believe it or not this is the weapon that has been confiscated from some football fans in Rome, Italy on the day that there was a derby between two favorite football teams in Rome. I can’t believe how much of it there is. It’s like they were getting ready for some smaller civil war or revolution. And on top of that all, this is just the weapon that was on a few of the fans that police managed to catch, and what’s with the ones that they didn’t get to? This is really terrible. What do you think about violence on sports events?
Funny sport moments
I love watching sports not for the sport itself, but for these funny moments when the sportsman or a sportswoman totally dedicates himself/herself in what he/she is doing, that they forget about their facial expression and they forget that people and what’s more important, newsmen and reporters are carefully watching their every move, like they are only waiting for these sport champs to do something funny.
WTA Tennis Tournament
These great Reuters photos taken by Michael Fiala are realistically showing what was the atmosphere on the WTA Tennis Tournament in Indian Wells between Serbian player Ana Ivanovic and Russian player Vera Zvonareva. Vera won in two straight sets.
