Are you planning a romantic weekend or vacation anytime soon? If you do, we Artsy Swaggers made a list of top 10 most beautiful and amazing places in the world that you absolutely must have on your bucket list. They look almost too good to be true, but they all exist and we’ve managed to locate them for you, so you could include these stops in your itinerary. If you know of some other amazing places that we forgot to mention, but you think should be included in this list, feel free to let us know in the comment section.

1. Wisteria Tunnel

Wisteria Tunnel is not some imaginary tunnel down the Wisteria Lane, a well known street where plenty of Desperate Housewives live. Believe it or not, this place actually exists and is located at the Kawachi Fuji Gardens in Kitakyushu, Japan. Flowering trees hang overhead and the different colored rows speckle the garden.

2. Cinque Terre, Italy

The Cinque Terre is part of the coast in the Liguria region of Italy. The terraces built on the rugged landscape are a popular tourist attraction.

3. Hotel La Montaña Mágica

Magic Mountain hotel is exactly what you think it is. It’s a hotel shaped like a mountain that spews water from the top. It’s located in Huilo Huilo, a private Natural Reserve in the Los Rios region of Chile.

4. The Crooked Forest

The Crooked Forest is located right outside of Nowe Czarnowo, West Pomerania, Poland. The grove contains approximately 400 pine trees with bent trunks. They were planted sometime in 1939, but why or who made them crooked is unknown.

5. Tunnel Of Love

Giant trees surround this old train tunnel located in Kleven, Ukraine. The magical-looking place is nicknamed “The Tunnel Of Love” by locals because it is a popular spot for couples to visit.

6. Blue Lagoon Hot Springs

The Blue Lagoon hot springs in Iceland are man-made bodies of water, but the springs are heated naturally with the volcanic activity on the island. The springs are especially beautiful in the snowy winter, and the water still quite toasty.

7. Ice Canyon

The ice canyons in Greenland were carved by meltwater and are as deep as 150 feet.

8. Ball Pyramid

Ball Pyramid is the world’s tallest sea stack. It is the remains of a shield volcano formed about 7 million years ago. It is 562 meters high and is located southeast of Lord Howe Island in the Pacific Ocean.

9. The Great Barrier Reef

The Great Barrier Reef is the world’s largest coral reef system. It’s located in the Coral Sea, off the coast of Queensland, Australia. It’s so large, you can see it from outer space. The reef is a very popular destination for scuba divers and other tourists.

10. Plitvice Lakes National Park

Plitvice Lakes National Park is the oldest national park in Southeast Europe and the largest park in Croatia. The park is filled with luscious green scenery, beautiful lagoons, and amazing waterfalls.

10 Parties to Attend Before You Die

Everybody knows about these great parties. We’ve all heard about them, they are ridiculously large, extremely wild and people from all over the world pack their bags to be there and to over-indulge yourself in all possible ways and to have the time of their lives. This is my bucket list for the parties I want to visit before I die. For now, I’ve seen two of these ten – Full Moon Party and Songkran when I was in Thailand last year. I haven’t yet decided Which will be my next destination for this year.

1. La Tomatina, Bunyol, Spain

La Tomatina is the biggest tomato fight in the world held each year since 1945 in Bunyol, Spain. On the last Wednesday in August 30,000 people get together in the street and toss tomatoes at each other. Before they start, rockets filled with tomatoes are launched above the crowd, making it rain tomato juice.

2. Full Moon Party, KPG, Thailand

Legend has it, that a group of young people from Japan was celebrating someone’s birthday during the 80s and they had the biggest, wildest party ever on the sandy beach on Koh Pangan, under the light of full moon. They had such great time that they decided to gather for the next full moon and party again. And soon it turned into a tradition. Now, there are back packers from all over the world that come here to party.

3. Carnival, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil

This is THE Carnival. The biggest, wildest and most famous one in the whole world. Thousands of half-naked participants dance to the rhythms of samba in one of the most beautiful places in the world. The carnival lasts for almost a week and it is a ongoing party for the whole time. This party has the main priority on my bucket list. I can’t wait to join that pulsing crowd.

4. Songkran, Thailand

Songkran is the Thai New Year. It takes place all over the country in mid-April and is literary the biggest water fight in the world. It is a spiritual holiday and aside from helping you cool down it is supposed to symbolize washing away your last year’s sins. And the best way to do that is by committing some new ones.

5. Oktoberfest, Munich

If you’re into beer, German sausages and women with big breasts in traditional Bavarian dresses, then the Oktoberfest is the place for you! Over 6 million people from all over the world come to Munich to enjoy the best beer in the world and join the street parades of people singing German songs followed by Oompha Bands.

6. Holi, India

Similar to the Thai holiday of Songrkan, Holi is a two day Hindu spring festival that occurs in northern India. The first night is marked by bonfires, and the second day is spent pleasuring your inner 2nd grader by splashing colored flour and water over everybody. It’s a celebration about renewal.

7. The Running of the Bull, Pamplona, Spain

This must be one of the craziest festivals in the world! Every year, tens of thousands of people come in Pamplona to literally run with bulls.Locals call the event The Festival of San Fermin. Thousands of people get chased by a herd of bulls while they run through a barricaded course. It is insanely dangerous and of course, many people get injured, but it just makes me wanna go and participate even harder!

8. Ios Island, Greece

People who were at these Greek island call it the the College fraternity version of Ibiza. There are three things to do on Ios, drink and party all night, hook-up and recover on the beach. Sounds like just the right amount of activity I plan for my holiday.

9. Mardi Grass, New Orleans

Mardi Gras is French for “Fat Tuesday” (in ethnic English tradition, Shrove Tuesday), referring to the practice of the last night of eating richer, fatty foods before the ritual fasting of the Lenten season, which begins on Ash Wednesday.

10. St. Patrick’s Day, Dublin, Ireland

The Irish know how to party and they show up in most of the top party destinations. Dublin is not only a beautiful city, it also has a fantastic night life. Temple Bar area is out of control and to go to Dublin for St. Patties day is one of those things you NEED to do at least one in your life, whether you are Irish or not!

15 Places You Should See While You’re Still Young

There are so many interesting and wonderful places in the world that everyone should have a chance to visit at least once in their lives. It would be the best if you could do most of your traveling while still young, because then you can get the full experience. Still, most of the people start traveling when they retire and step down from their position in the office. Then they feel like they finally have enough time for all the things they were putting off, because they worked so hard, but then as it usually turns out, they don’t have enough energy anymore and even if they went and visited some place they planned long ago, they wouldn’t really have enough zeal to climb the rocks, visit Buddhist temples, part all night long, etc.

1. New York, New York

The city of opportunities! If you can make it there, you’ll make it anywhere. New York is the city that never sleeps, the Big Apple, and the center of the modern world – the Wall Street, Broadway, Times Square, Central Park… It is the biggest melting pot in the whole world where you can hear absolutely all languages of the world when you step out in the street. There’s always something to do, and there are tons of young people bustling about.

2. Barcelona, Spain

If you’re backpacking through Europe make sure to stop at Barcelona, the 2000 year-old capital of Catalunya.

3. Sydney, Australia

With beautiful beaches and amazing views from mountaintops, Sydney is a place you should visit if you find yourself in the land down under.

4. Bangkok, Thailand

There is so much more to see in Bangkok then we had an opportunity to see in the Hangover II. It is an amazing multi-million city where you can Buddhist temples and palaces.

5. San Francisco, California

San Francisco has always been a haven for counter-culture and progressive ideals, and it’s a great place to sight-see.

6. San Jose, Costa Rica

A major hub of South America, Costa Rica has much to offer in sandy beaches, lush rainforests, and beautiful mountain views.

7. Cancun, Mexico

It isn’t a typical college spring break unless you’ve traveled to Cancun, right?

8. London, England

Hop on a double decker bus and explore the sights of this British city.

9. Hanoi, Vietnam

Vietnam is the perfect place to visit for an inexpensive but exciting trip to Southeast Asia.

It sucks growing old and it would be great if we didn’t have to at all, but while we are still young, let’s use the time we have on our hand and see at least some if not all the places from this list. These are kind of places you simply need to visit while you still fill like going out, partying and dancing all night long, and while you still have energy, will and power for long walks with a backpack on your back and chasing trains. I hope this list of in my opinion amazing places will make you visit at least one or two if not all of the places from list while you’re still young.

This might seem weird, but it is a medical procedure known by the name ichthyotherapy, and this sort of fish is called “Doctor Fish“. The idea is that this specific specie of fish eats only rotten flesh and meat and only the infected parts of skin and that way it helps healing. Now, it all makes sense in theory, but if you ask me it’s simply nasty! Somehow it doesn’t seem right to me, nor very hygienic! What do you think?

Venice is one of the most important tourist destinations in the world, due to the city being one of the world’s greatest and most beautiful cities of art. The city has an average of 50,000 tourists a day (2007 estimate). In 2006, it was the world’s 28th most internationally visited city, with 2.927 million international arrivals that year.

Tourism has been a major sector of Venetian industry since the 18th century, when it was a major center for the grand tour, due to its beautiful cityscape, uniqueness and rich musical and artistic cultural heritage. In the 19th century, it became a fashionable center for the rich and famous, often staying or dining at luxury establishments such as the Danieli Hotel and the Caffè Florian. It continued being a fashionable city in vogue right into the early 20th century. In the 1980s the Carnival of Venice was revived and the city has become a major centre of international conferences and festivals, such as the prestigious Venice Biennale and the Venice Film Festival, which attract visitors from all over the world for their theatrical, cultural, cinematic, artistic and musical productions.

Today there are numerous attractions in Venice, such as St Mark’s Basilica, the Grand Canal, and the Piazza San Marco, to name a few. The Lido di Venezia is also a popular international luxury destination, attracting thousands of actors, critics, celebrities and mainly people in the cinematic industry.

However, Venice’s popularity as a major worldwide tourist destination has caused several problems, including the fact that the city can be very overcrowded at some points of the year. It is regarded by some as a tourist trap, and by others as a ‘living museum’. The competition for foreigners to buy homes in Venice has made prices rise so highly, that numerous inhabitants are forced to move to more affordable areas of Veneto and Italy, most notably Mestre.

While places like Machu Picchu, Angkor Wat, and Petra grab the headlines, these sometimes overlooked monuments to the past make for memorable visits…and even better photos. Enjoy in this amazing collection of 12 lesser known ruins of the world and maybe some of it will inspire you to go and visit them while you’re on your vacation, not only the “mainstream” archeological places.

1. Palmyra, Syria This ancient desert oasis of a metropolis, 200km from Damascus, is at least 4,000 years old and can still be visited by camel caravan.

2. Borobudur, Indonesia Borobudur was an active Buddhist temple from the 9th to 14th centuries and is located rather precariously between two Javanese volcanoes.

3. Teotihuacan, Mexico Sitting less than an hour outside Mexico City, this pre-Aztec pyramid city may have been the most populous in the world during its heyday between A.D. 150 and 450.

4. Göreme, Cappadocia, Turkey The unique stone formations of this region in central Turkey were made even more picturesque when homes and monasteries (and today hotels) were carved into them beginning around A.D. 300.

5. Khara-Khoto, Inner Mongolia Marco Polo is said to have passed through this Mongol trading outpost before it was sacked by a Ming Dynasty army. Since then, the Gobi has slowly been taking up residence.

6. Wat Phu, Laos The lazy riverside town of Champasak is the gateway to these Khmer temple ruins, granted Unesco World Heritage status in 2001.

7. Tikal, Guatemala Though only questionably qualifying as “lesser-known,” this stop on the Maya Trail did lose out on becoming a “New 7 Wonder of the World” to its cousin farther north, Chichen Itza.

8. Volubilis, Morocco The Romans sure got around, leaving behind their characteristic triumphal arches and columned temples in unlikely places — such as a few dozen kilometers outside of Meknes, Morocco.

9. Bagan, Myanmar This ancient Burmese capital and its 2,217 peaked-dome temples should be better known, but its location within a “rogue state” is holding it back.

10. Tiwanaku, Bolivia Tiwanaku (or Tiahuanaco) is still being excavated, as funds become available, but has already revealed countless secrets about a pre-Inca empire that ruled the Altiplano until A.D. 1000.

11. Mesa Verde National Park, USA The Anasazi’s cliff-carved city, built in the 11th century, is considered the largest in North America and is the centerpiece of this national park in the Four Corners region.

12. El Djem, Tunisia More evidence of the Roman presence in North Africa comes in the form of this ruined amphitheater — the ancient empire’s third largest.

Speleology is the science of exploration and study of all aspects of caves and the environment which surrounds the caves. Exploring a cave for recreation or science may be called caving, potholing, or, in Canada and the United States, spelunking (see Caving).

Throughout history, primitive peoples have made use of caves for shelter, burial, or as religious sites. Since items placed in caves are protected from the climate and scavenging animals, this means caves are an archaeological treasure house for learning about these people. Cave paintings are of particular interest. One example is the Great Cave of Niah, in Malaysia, which contains evidence of human habitation dating back 40,000 years.
