The Weirdest Christmas Trees

The Christmas is just around the corner and probably most of you have already decorated your Christmas tree. But if there are still some late decorators that were too busy with their work to find spare time for buying tree and decorating it, or they simply were out of creative ideas, maybe this article will help them to come up with something really unique and original. Also, you might at least make sure what you don’t want in your house this year for holidays, because this are the weirdest Christmas trees you can find on the internet.

1. Dress Up as a Christmas Tree

This busy mom couldn’t manage to find time to go shopping for Christmas tree, so she figured that the easiest solution would be to dress up as a tree. She even dressed her baby as one.

And when the baby grows up and goes to College, she’ll probably keep up with this odd family tradition.

2. Christmas Under the Sea

Christmas will come everywhere on this planet, so I see no good reason why there shouldn’t be a Christmas tree under water.

3. Christmas Tree Made of Plastic Bottles

This is a nice idea, making a Christmas tree out of used plastic bottles. It might raise awareness of how important it is to recycle. Maybe we can all make a New Year’s resolution under this tree to promise ourselves we’ll take batter care of our planet.

4. Claridge’s Tree and Leopard Scene

The papier-mache and polystyrene creation was thought up by Christian Dior designer John Galliano. This is what a Christmas tree looks like in the world of high fashion. Don’t ask me what the artist was trying to say with this, I have no clue.

5. Colored Tubes Christmas Tree

If you thought all Christmas trees are made out of wood, just because they are trees, you were wrong. Here we have a unique example of Xmas tree made out of colored Murano glass in tubes. Pretty neat, right?

6. Avant-garde Christmas Tree

This is how artists celebrate the holidays and how they decorate their Christmas tree, I mean their Christmas wall. It looks really great. I love it.

7. Green Men Christmas Tree

This looks like a Heineken Christmas tree or even a communist version of a Christmas tree to me, even if it makes no sense at all. The creators of this tree say they were trying to says that no tree should be cut down for the Christmas, because every tree is a little greet fighter, but I don’t really see that.

8. Christmas Trees Addressing Consumerism

We really need more of these trees around. It would be perfect if there could be one placed in every mall, just to remind us of the vast amount of money that we are spending on presents for the holidays.

Or something like this, a Christmas tree made out of a bill. It is really small and can therefor perfectly fit in every place. You can even take it with you to your office, as a reminder.

You can barely see the tree behind all these presents! I think that we are really exaggerating and spending too much, but I’ve heard that’s good for the global economy. That might be true, but it is really bad for my own, house economy. December is all about spending, and then January is all about frowning and calculating. Just as we bounce back somewhere in February, it’s Valentine’s Day and again – time for spending money on flowers and chocolates…

… and let’s not forget stuffed plush toys! You can actually use this teddy bear tree both for Christmas and Valentine’s Day.

9. Upside Down Christmas Tree

This tree is excellent is you have a rebellious teenager that is going through puberty and has the need to counteract and oppose everything. We’ve all been there, it’s perfectly normal. It will pass and in the meantime, why not try something different. Your kid will say your cool, (probably just for a day, then everything will go back to usual) and you’ll enjoy doing searing things up and doing something different one year. My only concern is that this tree doesn’t seem very stable. I wonder if it can stand on its own.

10. Candle Christmas Tree

This is really unique and creative idea for a Christmas tree, but also it is not really practical. It will burn out too quickly, you won’t even be finished with your Christmas diner when someone will tell you that you’ve run out of Christmas tree/candle.

11. Christmas Tree Made out of Books

A Christmas tree that is made out of books is an ideal for the libraries. I’m sure all the nerds will enjoy and they might even try doing this at home.

12. OLED Spherical Christmas Tree

This is also a type of tree that most of the geeks will appreciate. Imagine how great this looks at night when the lights are on. I feel the need to experiment with my tree this year.

13. Ladder Christmas Tree

The ladder used instead of a classic pine tree and decorated with few light bulbs and a bicycle chain instead of a traditional decorations, sounds weird, but, surprisingly, it actually looks pretty good. I’m guessing this is also a Christmas tree of some artsy family or the holidays found them in the middle of painting, so they decided to make the best of it.

14. Car Enthusiast’s Christmas Tree

This is probably how the car enthusiasts or members of the Top Gear Christmas tree looks like. There is also this version:

Somehow I have the feeling that their wives weren’t as enthusiastic as them about this tree.

15. Cardboard Christmas Tree

A Cardboard Christmas Tree? Seriously? This looks too cheap, in my opinion. I know I say that we are spending too much for the holidays, but still, this is somehow too cheap and it makes me sad a little bit. So, therefor, this is definitely something I will never put in my home.

16. Neon Light Christmas Tree

The Neon Light Christmas Tree is also something a geek or nerd might appreciate. I have to admit it looks good and it can be very useful.

17. Traffic Light Christmas Tree

Wow! A Christmas tree made of traffic lights? This looks awesome. I’m a little concerned how they regulate the traffic at this intersection during the holiday season.

But, still… I really dig this. It reminds us, that even in heart of cities, far away from the nature, we can still manage to find something aesthetic, and inspiring and enjoy our holidays.

18. R2D2 Christmas Tree

Is it, really? Honestly, I have no idea what is this Christmas Tree/robotic sculpture supposed to represent, but it looks like R2D2 to me. And there goes another tree ideal for the geeks. Is it just me, or are they taking over the Christmas?

19. Hazardous Christmas Tree

Here goes a Christmas tree that probably emerged from some College frat house. And the material for building this tree (the empty beer bottles) was probably provided at a party, the night before. They will probably try to pull this out as a part of recycling awareness, but we’ve already seen that tree and it looks nothing like this.

Talking about Christmas parties, here goes another Christmas tree, or maybe it would be better to call it a Christmas bush, that is ideal for celebrating Christmas.

20. Ridiculously Expensive Christmas Tree

And for those who love to spend their money on stupid stuff, here goes the ridiculously expensive Christmas tree with luxurious ornaments. I didn’t like the extra cheap one made of cardboard, but I don’t like this one either.

So, you see, the Christmas tree doesn’t have to be boring and always the same. You can use this piece of tradition as a means of expressing your creativity and maybe even send a message through it to the world, or at least your family and friends. Enjoy decorating your tree, relax for the next few days, charge your batteries and may all of you have a marry Christmas and a happy New Year!

Every December, as the holiday season sets in, people dress up in the ugliest, tackiest and most repulsive Christmas sweaters which they simply refuse to take off until they’ve payed visits in them to every neighboring house party and until the last Christmas decoration doesn’t come down – which can in some extreme cases reach the middle of February! Some of these weirdos even talk their friends and family into taking part in this madness, as they organize fierce competition for the tackiest v-neck or the most hideous season themed wool knit!

1. Hunting Season is On

Can you believe that someone would actually put a price tag on something like this? Some people really can’t appreciate true artwork when they see it.

2. Fluffy White Christmas

Awww… What can possibly be cutter than three fluffy white kittens playing with wrapping ribbons under a Christmas tree? How about anything!

3. 3D Christmas Teddy

I responsibly claim that there isn’t uglier than a 3D Christmas sweater, except probably, a 3D Christmas sweater with a dumb teddy bear.

4. Gingerbread Fever

Isn’t this just adorable? It has gingerbread buttons, and a little gingerbread house with gingerbread men floating all around it! Suddenly, I feel like I could have a glass of milk.

5. Christmas Tree Sweater

You don’t have to bother buying a Christmas Tree, and agonize while bringing it in the house, and then cleaning your home from the tree needles that somehow manage to appear everywhere. You can simply wear this shit instead and everyone will think you’re a tree.

6. Christmas – Back to Black

Is there anything more cheerful than black? This tragically ugly piece shows a sophisticated balance of ugliness and dullness. A true must-have, since 1982!

This is one of the best ugly Christmas sweater moments – you take up a mildly ugly sweater and turn it into cosmic despicable sweater by attaching more tacky shit on it, like, in this case, a huge-headed red-nose reindeer with a crown between his antlers.
