10 Parties to Attend Before You Die

Everybody knows about these great parties. We’ve all heard about them, they are ridiculously large, extremely wild and people from all over the world pack their bags to be there and to over-indulge yourself in all possible ways and to have the time of their lives. This is my bucket list for the parties I want to visit before I die. For now, I’ve seen two of these ten – Full Moon Party and Songkran when I was in Thailand last year. I haven’t yet decided Which will be my next destination for this year.

1. La Tomatina, Bunyol, Spain

La Tomatina is the biggest tomato fight in the world held each year since 1945 in Bunyol, Spain. On the last Wednesday in August 30,000 people get together in the street and toss tomatoes at each other. Before they start, rockets filled with tomatoes are launched above the crowd, making it rain tomato juice.

2. Full Moon Party, KPG, Thailand

Legend has it, that a group of young people from Japan was celebrating someone’s birthday during the 80s and they had the biggest, wildest party ever on the sandy beach on Koh Pangan, under the light of full moon. They had such great time that they decided to gather for the next full moon and party again. And soon it turned into a tradition. Now, there are back packers from all over the world that come here to party.

3. Carnival, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil

This is THE Carnival. The biggest, wildest and most famous one in the whole world. Thousands of half-naked participants dance to the rhythms of samba in one of the most beautiful places in the world. The carnival lasts for almost a week and it is a ongoing party for the whole time. This party has the main priority on my bucket list. I can’t wait to join that pulsing crowd.

4. Songkran, Thailand

Songkran is the Thai New Year. It takes place all over the country in mid-April and is literary the biggest water fight in the world. It is a spiritual holiday and aside from helping you cool down it is supposed to symbolize washing away your last year’s sins. And the best way to do that is by committing some new ones.

5. Oktoberfest, Munich

If you’re into beer, German sausages and women with big breasts in traditional Bavarian dresses, then the Oktoberfest is the place for you! Over 6 million people from all over the world come to Munich to enjoy the best beer in the world and join the street parades of people singing German songs followed by Oompha Bands.

6. Holi, India

Similar to the Thai holiday of Songrkan, Holi is a two day Hindu spring festival that occurs in northern India. The first night is marked by bonfires, and the second day is spent pleasuring your inner 2nd grader by splashing colored flour and water over everybody. It’s a celebration about renewal.

7. The Running of the Bull, Pamplona, Spain

This must be one of the craziest festivals in the world! Every year, tens of thousands of people come in Pamplona to literally run with bulls.Locals call the event The Festival of San Fermin. Thousands of people get chased by a herd of bulls while they run through a barricaded course. It is insanely dangerous and of course, many people get injured, but it just makes me wanna go and participate even harder!

8. Ios Island, Greece

People who were at these Greek island call it the the College fraternity version of Ibiza. There are three things to do on Ios, drink and party all night, hook-up and recover on the beach. Sounds like just the right amount of activity I plan for my holiday.

9. Mardi Grass, New Orleans

Mardi Gras is French for “Fat Tuesday” (in ethnic English tradition, Shrove Tuesday), referring to the practice of the last night of eating richer, fatty foods before the ritual fasting of the Lenten season, which begins on Ash Wednesday.

10. St. Patrick’s Day, Dublin, Ireland

The Irish know how to party and they show up in most of the top party destinations. Dublin is not only a beautiful city, it also has a fantastic night life. Temple Bar area is out of control and to go to Dublin for St. Patties day is one of those things you NEED to do at least one in your life, whether you are Irish or not!

Daredevils from Switzerland Enjoying an Extreme Hot Tub

Daredevils in Switzerland have taken an extreme dip in a jacuzzi suspended 150m above the ground. The breathtaking stunt was organised by a group of “extreme jacuzzi” fanatics who dangled 39m off the side of the 189m Gueuroz Bridge using cables and ropes. The 25 participants abseiled onto the platform to enjoy the bath and a breathtaking view of Trient Gorge, complete with champagne and cake. It took six hours to assemble the makeshift hot-tub and about 2500 hours to plan to mission. Water was heated in a second jacuzzi on the bridge and lowered onto the platform where a gas-powered system kept it warm.

The group, from Switzerland, has been organising extreme jacuzzis for 10 years and have scaled 4572m summits in the Alps and Andes in their hunt for the perfect hot-tub experience. In 2007 they enjoyed the world’s highest jacuzzi at the summit of Europe’s biggest mountain, Mont Blanc.

Crazy Styles From The Alternative Hair Show

The rather alarming Alternative Hair Show was held in Moscow on Wednesday, September 28th 2011, while modern day Marie Antoinettes struted their stuff and presented the wildest hairstyles ever seen. I can’t even imagine occasion at which it would be even remotely possible to pull off look like this. If you expect to see some curls or classic fringes in the images below, you’ll be quite surprised cause the stylists in this show were more “chimney brush” oriented.

Some might argue if it’s less than 50% hair, it should be called hat or at least wig instead of hair style. Anyhow, I’m pretty sure it won’t be long till Lady Gaga recreates some of these looks.

Aside from unusual hair styles, the models were presenting unusual clothes which were in some cases completed with body paint, peacock and bird feathers.

From the first time someone came up with an idea how to catch other’s attention by doing something ridiculously dangerous and stupid the history of stunts began. Now, it is almost impossible to imagine a movie without stunts or circus shows without crazy daredevils, ready to taste their luck while doing something that no one has ever done before. 1. Too much VIAGRA killed the dictator

Nigerian dictator Sani Abacha, died at his residence in Abuja of a heart attack, rumored to have been caused by the ingestion of large quantities of the drug VIAGRA as a prelude to an orgy. Apparently the Nigerian dictator was only one of 5,600 victims, because since viagra was launched, more than 5,600 men have died after taking the antiimpotence pill Viagra.

2. The Jockey died but the Horse kept going… and WON!

Frank Hayes (1888–1923) was a jockey who, in 1923, suffered a fatal heart attack in the midst of a race at Belmont Park in New York. His horse, Sweet Kiss, finished and won the race with his lifeless body still atop, making him the first, and thus far, only, jockey to win a race after death.

3. Teenager killed by a MiG-23 fighter jet

A Belgian teenager was killed by a crashing soviet MiG-23 fighter jet, which escaped from Poland on autopilot after the crew ejected over a false engine failure alarm. (1989)

4. Killed and eaten by a classmate

A 25-year-old Dutch woman studying in Paris, Renée Hartevelt, was killed and eaten by a classmate, Issei Sagawa, when he invited her to dinner for a literary conversation. The killer was declared unfit to stand trial and extradited back to Japan, where he was released from custody within fifteen months. (1981)

5. Prince of Nepal didn’t like his Royal Family

On June 1, Crown Prince Dipendra of Nepal, enraged from a dispute over his marriage arrangements (and possibly intoxicated), reportedly went on a rampage at dinner and massacred nearly the entire Royal Family, including his father the king. But in accordance with custom and tradition, Dipendra, then in a coma due to wounds sustained either from palace guards or a botched suicide attempt, became king for three days before dying on June 4. He was succeeded by his uncle, whose son mysteriously survived the massacre unscathed. (2001)

Vic Morrow, actor, was decapitated by helicopter blade during filming of “Twilight Zone: The Movie” and was killed instantly, along with two child actors Myca Dinh Le and Renee Shin-Yi Chen. (1982)

8. Distracted by his wife, in the middle of World War I

François Faber, Luxembourgean Tour de France winner, died in a trench on the western front of World War I. He received a telegram saying his wife had given birth to a daughter. He cheered, giving away his position, and was shot by a German sniper (1915).

9. The politician shot himself during a TV conference

R. Budd Dwyer, a Republican politician, committed suicide during a televised press conference. Facing a potential 55-year jail sentence for alleged involvement in a conspiracy, Dwyer shot himself in the head with a revolver. (1987)

10. Assassinated by an Umbrella

Georgi Markov, a Bulgarian dissident, was assassinated by poisoning in London by an unknown assailant who shot him in the leg with a specially modified umbrella that fired a metal pellet with a small cavity full of ricin poison. (1978)

11. Brandon Lee and the magic bullet

Brandon Lee, the son of Bruce Lee, was shot and killed by a prop .44 Magnum while filming the movie The Crow. The scene involved the firing of a full-powder blank (full charge of gunpowder, but no bullet) at Brandon’s character. However, unknown to the film crew/firearms technician, a bullet was already lodged in the barrel. (1993)

12. He swallowed a toothpick on a party

Sherwood Anderson, writer, swallowed a toothpick (presumably in a martini olive), which had perforated his colon and caused a fatal case of peritonitis. He was buried at Round Hill Cemetery in Marion, Virginia. His epitaph reads, “Life, Not Death, is the Great Adventure.” (1941)

13. A foil pierced his eyeball and entered his brain

Vladimir Smirnov, an Olympic champion fencer, died of brain damage nine days after his opponent’s foil snapped during a match, pierced his eyeball and entered his brain. (1982)

14. Jack Daniel’s much needed Anger Management

Jack Daniel, founder of the famous Tennessee whiskey distillery, died of blood poisoning due to a toe injury he received after kicking his safe in anger when he could not remember its combination code. (1911)

15. Decapitated by his car’s drive chain, but it was worth it!

J.G. Parry-Thomas, a British racing driver, was decapitated by his car’s drive chain which, under duress, snapped and whipped into the cockpit. He was attempting to break his own Land speed record which he had set the previous year. Incredibly enough, despite being killed in the attempt, he succeeded in setting a new record of 171mph. 16. A homeless man killed to collect his life insurance

Michael Malloy, a homeless man, was murdered by gassing after surviving multiple poisonings, intentional exposure, and being struck by a car. Malloy was murdered by five men in a plot to collect on life insurance policies they’d purchased. (1933)

17. 4 Weeks without water on the Libyan Desert

Lady be Good, a USAAF B-24 bomber lost its way and crash landed in the Libyan Desert. The Mummified remains of its crew, who struggled for a week without water, were not found until 1960. (1943)

18. The right song for his last performance

Famed baritone Leonard Warren collapsed on the stage of the New York Metropolitan Opera of a massive stroke during a performance of “La forza del destino” (The force of destiny). (1960)

19. Apollo 1′s deadly training exercise

A flash fire began in the pure oxygen atmosphere inside the unlaunched Apollo 1 spacecraft, killing its crew during a training exercise. (1967)

20. The Prime Minister can’t swim

Harold Holt, the serving Prime Minister of Australia, vanished while swimming on a beach near Melbourne. His body was never found. (1967)

21. “Are we boring you, Mr. Rodale?”

Jerome Irving Rodale, an American pioneer of organic farming, died of a heart attack while being interviewed on the Dick Cavett Show. When he appeared to fall asleep, Cavett quipped “Are we boring you, Mr. Rodale?”. The show was never broadcast. (1971)

Christine Chubbuck, an American television news reporter committed suicide during a live broadcast on July 15th. At 9:38 AM, 8 minutes into her talk show, on WXLT-TV in Sarasota, Florida, she drew out a revolver and shot herself in the head. (1974).

Owen Hart, WWF (now WWE) wrestler, died when he fell 78 feet while being lowered into the ring by a cable from the stadium rafters before an upcoming match. He had been scheduled to win the WWF Intercontinental Championship that night. (1999)

Tommy Cooper, British magician, died on stage at Her Majesty’s Theatre during a live television routine. Most of the audience and viewers believed it was part of his act. (1984)

25. Nasty weather for this environmentalist

American environmentalist Timothy Treadwell, self-proclaimed “eco-warrior” that had lived in the wilderness among bears for thirteen summers in a remote portion of Alaska, was killed and partially consumed along with his girlfriend Amie Huguenard after they had been slated to leave due to the impending harsh fall/winter in Alaska. The critically-acclaimed documentary film Grizzly Man, dealing with this weird death was directed by Werner Herzog and released in 2005. (2003)

Kobi Levi has built reputation of a quite eccentric shoe designer. For some reason he thinks of a classic shoes as dull and unaesthetic and he tries to create a new modern shoe that will have a completely different form and shape. He went so far in changing the shape of a shoe that it became unwearable. He combined the elements of nature like flowers, birds and animals, but also some from the urban life – like a gum stuck on the shoe that turned into a heel. His shoes are definitely something different, new and interesting, but I have to admit I would never wear anything like this in public. What do you think?

Obama’s A Muslim

According to the Pew Research Center, 18% of Americans believe Obama is a Muslim. Most likely, the same people also hate Muslims. Put it together, and there’s a chance that one in five Americans hate our President because of his supposed religion.

Moon Landing Was A Hoax

A huge number of Americans believe that the moon landing was staged. Aside from the sheer stupidity of that, it raises a bigger question: If it was faked, how would Buzz Aldrin be bedding lady space groupie after space groupie if he hadn’t actually been on the moon? He would not. Thus, real.

It is really amazing the amount of craziness and weirdness you can see at the ATM. It might have something to do with the fact that it is the source of money at any time of day or night, so you can expect to see a bunch of drunk and wasted people trying to get more cash to buy more liquor, but beside that there are some even stranger stuff. For example, did you ever think you’ll have the opportunity to play solitaries at the ATM? Also, there are some technical problems such as ATM being to high or too low. Ear pulling championship

W.E.I.O. or World Eskimo Indian Olympics have among many others one especially peculiar discipline – the Ear Pulling Championship, called the Ear Pull. It really looks like the contestants are in great amount of pain, but isn’t it so for almost all sport disciplines? Just think about the marathon for example.

This crazy sport discipline is definitely the number one when it comes to funny faces. I believe this is the main reason they included the Ear Pull in their Olympics, to laugh while looking at contestants’ deformed with pain faces while they are in agony trying to prove… well something. Maybe that they have the stretchiest ears or that they can hypnotize the opponent with their crazy eye.

Oh, this girl is definitely going for the crazy eye/look tactics.

This is terrible! I can’t believe someone would actually like wearing something like this. Below in these pictures you can see jewelry made out from real human teeth. If you lose a tooth and you refuse to part it you can make this sort of “stylish” jewelry. Crazy, right?

How weird is this? A beer packed in a weasel? If someone brought to me this beer I would probably think that I have drank too much and that I’m hallucinating. But the truth is that Scottish brewery BrewDog has released a new super-strong beer named The End of the History that contains 55 % alcohol. Wow! After drinking something with so much alcohol you probably wouldn’t care anymore about the rights of the animals and stuff like that.

The actions of 30-year Norwegian Eskil Ronningsbakken may shock, admire, horrify or command respect. The best stunt men and daredevils of the world probably wouldn’t dare to what he’s doing on the edge of high cliffs. He probably proved that he has a great balance and can do amazing hand stands, so he decided to make it a bit more exciting by balancing on the edge of a cliff. Really unbelievable!

Eskil has also been training others how to make bold shapes at dangerous spots. Here he performs with Moses Wepukhuli, 25, from Kenya, and one of Eskil's students. This was the first time Moses has performed at that height, and has been under Eskil's supervision since January 2009

Describing his performances as 'expressions of art', Eskil is currently touring with a team of 10 people as part of a documentary about his incredible achievements. It has become sort of a tradition for runners in the London marathon to wear all sorts of crazy and uncomfortable costumes. Sometimes it is all just for fun and sometimes it is to raise awareness or collect money for different causes. If you ask me it’s pretty damn impressive running for 26.2 miles and just imagine running that distance dressed in full Storm Trooper garb. I guess that some people just enjoy in that extra sweating and skin chafing because of the plastic, nylon and other materials that are used for making the coolest costumes that are the most unsuitable for running.

Your hair is talking about your personality. Therefor many people are trying to have the original, unusual and by all means unique head dress. But, unfortunately many get lost on that journey. They seem to try too hard to have something that no one has and at the end their special haircut turns out to look something like these weird bird nests on the images below.

Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No, it’s a super-ultra-unique-original-and-crazy-helicopter-shaped-head-dress! Sounds scabrous? Well, that’s because it looks exactly like that! I really hope this is a photos from the funniest hair style competition and not someones real haircut.

What do you think about the octopus style? I wouldn’t recommend this one if you’re going to the theater or the movies, because people might wanna see something besides this intriguing sea specie.

Now, this guy definitely solved his dilemma if he should put a heat on or not for good. This way he has it both, a fancy and stylish haircut and a unique heat at the same time.

We’ve all seen a lot of funny animal photos on the internet, and I though I’ve seen them all, but this collection totally blew my mind off. I know I’ve probably said this a million times before, but this has to be the best collection of funniest, craziest, most adorable animal photos ever (with one priest too). Cows watching TV

Now, here’s a little lesson in cow psychology! Wait, don’t laugh, this is serious business. Some Russian farmer heard somewhere that his cows will give more milk if they are happier and more relaxed. Then he pondered a bit wondering what is the thing that cows love most and what makes them happy, and came up with an idea. He’ll install wide LCDs in barns and play the images of juicy green grass all day long!

To see if this modern and expensive method is showing any results, he divided his cows in two teams. Team A will watch TV with images of green lawns, while on the other hand, team B will be deprived of this pleasure. Then he’ll measure up the amount of milk that they are giving. Since the experiment is still in process, we don’t know the results.

Judging by these images, these cows don’t seem to be impressed by the program. Maybe when our inventive farmer finishes with this experiment he should try out playing different sort of videos, like classic music, ballet or images from the space. Since the point is to make cows feel relaxed maybe he should try out making the barns more cosy with a few cushions and candles.

Tourism has definitely changed in the last days. People aren’t interested into usual touristic sites, they’ve probably seen it all already. Nowadays, people want to see something that they can be involved in and also something that will make their heart race and some crazy stunt that will make their adrenaline rush! Off course, this is not everybody’s first choice. I can’t imagine myself going all overly excited for swimming with crocodiles, but apparently there are people who are into this sort of craziness, since it exists as a regular touristic site.
